Guitar 101

11am-12pm

Ages: 8 - Teens

Experience Level: None/Beginner

The best way to kick-start your guitar playing experience!

W'll cover introductory topics such as getting to know your instrument by learning all the parts of the instrument, memorizing the strings by name & number and learn to read music! You’ll be set to start making music even before you take your first lesson!


Guitar 102

1pm-2pm 

Ages: Teens - Adults

Experience Level: Intermediate

Have you been playing guitar for a while but just can’t seem to make any progress on your own? In Guitar 102 we'll cover topics that are often overlooked such as learning the fretboard, how to develop your rhythm and tips on building your chord vocabulary. You can finally play with ease and take your playing to a whole new level.

More About John Udinsky, Guitar Instructor

John Udinsky Jr earned his B.M. in Jazz Guitar Performance from The University of the Arts and leads an active career as both a performer and a teacher. As a freelancer, John’s experiences have included performing heavily in the PA/NJ/NY tri-state area, frequenting venues such as World Café Live, Milkboy, TIME, Arlene's Grocery, Rockwood Music Hall & The Bitter End. He has also toured along the East Coast performing in over 12 states & has been featured on 4 LPs, 1 EP,  3 singles & has appeared in 2 music videos. Outside of freelancing, John loves the theater and has performed in orchestra pits for over 18 musical productions. Today, John resides just outside of Boston, MA and is planning the release of his upcoming debut solo acoustic guitar album entitled "Movin' Along”. 

 

In a lesson with John, a student can expect to get a well rounded education. Not only will they receive training in the essential guitar repertoire & techniques of all styles, but will also receive lessons in musicianship such as theory, transcription & ear training. John also emphasizes creativity through the development of skills such as improvisation, arranging & composition.
