  • Friday Student Gallery: Students show their work to family and friends in our weekly exhibition at 11:30 am for morning programs.

  • Prices available on February 1.

  • Programs are Monday-Friday.

  • Half days are Morning, 9am-12pm or Afternoon, 1pm-4pm.

Drawing and Painting for Teens


Students learned how to create perspective, shade subjects and compose drawings plus how to mix paint for the right color. Watercolor and acrylic painting techniques were also covered as they moved through the session's projects. 


Teen Photography Week 


The class addresses aesthetic photography principles as they relate to composition, space, exposure, light and color. Students complete daily assignments in the afternoons and bring in prints the next day for constructive criticism. All types of cameras are welcomed, including phones.

Portfolio Art Intensive for Teens

Experienced art students focus on the elements + principles of design through observational drawing and a variety of materials + mediums. Portfolio preparation and presentation are explored throughout the course.

Teen Art Program Faculty

Kim Kolodzieczak

Kim has a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and a MA in Teaching Art from Salem State University. She has had years of volunteer and teaching experience working in classroom settings with children from Kindergarten to middle school. 

"Working with children has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy helping children build confidence and feel successful."

David W. Kay

David has a BFA from the Mass College of Art where he studied with several prominent photographers. He and his wife started Boston’s Kingston Gallery and ran it for five years. His work has been published and exhibited. In addition to his fine arts prints, he has an extensive portfolio of industrial products and jewelry/craft photography. He is an active member of the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield and he has a studio at Porter Mill Studios in Beverly.
