What is the week like?

Students explore instruments, singing, dance, art, storytelling, costumes and drama using the week's theme for creative inspiration.

Each day starts with a crafting project and our teacher, Kenya Esteva de Ruiz, talks about the morning: music, art and drama activities build throughout the week to a last day parade and show-and-tell at 11:30am for family and friends.

During last summer's "Little Mermaid's Splash" week, the students learned about different types of tropical fish and sea creatures through books and art projects, made mermaid tails, came up with their own mermaid names, played fishing games, and decorated special treasure boxes for holding the weeks artwork. Their show and tell for family and friends included playing a song on guitar, singing their song and performing a dance they made up themselves!
