February Vacation Week Workshop
World Instrument Design
Students will use math and science concepts to build and calibrate the kalimbas they make to take home, play a variety of unique handmade world instruments from Mr. Wilson's collection and learn how they can be made with re-purposed materials. Learn the basics of instrument design, including pitch, vibration and amplification.

This popular class is a based on Mr. Roald Wilson's very popular instrument presentations in the Reading elementary schools.
Mr. Wilson is certified by the Smithsonian Institution Folkways Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage through the School of Music, University of Washington.
